WELCOME SCHOOLS AND NURSERIES
We acknowledge the exceptional dedication of Schools and Nurseries in nurturing children's growth and helping them reach their academic potential!

Our mission at Bright Little Minds is to complement the efforts of teachers and staff by providing additional mental health support to children. This ensures a holistic approach to children's wellbeing and together, we can create a brighter future for the next generation!
What we do - Empower Young Minds!
Sadly, 1 in 6 children aged 5-16 is likely to have a mental health problem (The Children's Society). With rising demand for mental health support in schools, nurseries, and at home, Bright Little Minds deliver transformational, age-appropriate sessions and courses. These equip children and parents with tools to build resilience and nurture mental wellbeing.
Mindfulness is not the answer to all mental health issues but we know it helps children regulate their emotions and learn ways to exert control over their thoughts and feelings.

The classroom-based mindfulness curriculum offered by Bright Little Minds are called 'dots' and 'Paws b' and developed by the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) which is an international, not-for-profit charity for young people and schools. See comprehensive curriculum here
dots (age 3-6):
Course length - Flexible, thirty sessions split into 3 sets of 10 sessions, often delivered over a school year.
Session length - 10-25 minutes which can be repeated throughout an entire weeks or even weeks. It is also possible to take an individual session and split it up, so that different sections of that session is delivered on different days of the week if this would better meet the needs of learners.
paws b (age 7-11):
Course length - The lessons are flexible and varied and can be taught as twelve 30 to 60 minute lessons or can be grouped into pairs and delivered over six sessions. Learning from all of the lessons is encouraged to be connected to other aspects of the school curriculum where and when appropriate, such as music, sport, art, drama, queuing to come into the classroom, school and residential trips, to name just a few possibilities.
The twelve sessions typically run over one or two terms or adapted to span over a full academic year, offering consistency to develop lasting mental wellbeing habits and strengthen children's inner 'Superpowers'.
Session length 30-60 minutes
Each lesson is expertly crafted for use in the classroom to teach a distinct mindfulness skill.

.breathe (age 9-14):
.breathe is a four-session programme aimed at the school 'transition' years of ages 9-14. It can be taught as part of a broader Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) Curriculum or as part of a 'transition-specific' programme in years 5-9.
As part of this, .breathe offers an opportunity for both the teachers and students to 'dip their toes in to mindfulness', exploring the ways in which this might support them through the highs and lows of adolescent life.
